:: Advocacy ::

Problems of the minority community rightly ask for attention. Lack of education, unemployment, and poverty are burning issues that cannot be overlooked in any civilized society. We advocate the cause of Minority Empowerment and seek to help the members of the minority communities by enabling them to pursue education and by helping them obtain jobs. We provide all possible help, so that they can exercise their free will and decision to pursue their chosen areas of expertise without any reservations based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or disability. We offer mediation facilities and link members of the minority communities with educational institutions and potential employers. We believe that if the educational levels of the minorities were raised, then their economic levels would also be raised.

We advocate the cause of more tolerance towards ethnic and cultural differences, more sharing of economic resources, and more love towards neighbors, so that a truly multicultural society can exist in peace and harmony. We advocate and firmly believe that an individual exists in the society and without the firm support of the society, an individual ceases to exist. The society should accept minorities as constituting an important part of it, and should work towards their all-round improvement. For this responsibility has to be taken by everyone as responsible members of the society. Every member of the society should realize and accept that rights can come only with responsibilities. If the responsibilities are fully and satisfactorily discharged, then only can the rights accorded be justified.

Helping the minority involves accepting responsibility and recognizing the subsequent rights, by every member of the society as equal participators in the ongoing evolution of a multicultural and international society. The differences that different cultures present in terms of living habits, religions, beliefs and traditions, should be accepted with tolerance and love.

Global Friendship seeks to extend the voice of the women and other minorities across to government and voluntary organizations. This means presenting their issues and their experiences with the aim of getting those with influence to take notice. Our advocacy is on their behalf in getting justice and opportunity for fulfillment of God given talent.
